- luks: "CD lookup not implemented. You need to have ctypes and libdiscid installed." -- is it not implemented because i don't have those installed? or is it just not implemented?
- 07:16:58 [luks]
- because you don't have installed those
- 07:18:07 [intgr]
- Heh, that's a misleading statement indeed.
- 07:18:48 [luks]
- python-musicbrainz just raises an NotImplementedError, and I'm very lazy to think about error messages :)
- 07:20:33 [BrianG]
- i get ctypes from python-musicbrainz2?
- 07:23:18 [luks]
- sudo apt-get install python-ctypes
- 07:23:40 [warp]
- if band A collaborates on one track of an album by band B, should I make an A & B artist to indicate the collaboration, or would it be better to enter some ARs ?
- 07:24:08 [luks]
- libdiscid will be probably a problem, but you could try `wget http://users.musicbrainz.org/~luks/tmp/deb-libdiscid-0.1.0-1/libdiscid0_0.1.0-1_i386.deb && dpkg -i libdiscid0_0.1.0-1_i386.deb`

- 20:50:56 [Freso]
- zout: Well, you *are* Dutch. You're supposed to understand it! I'm not Dutch, yet I understand it!
- 20:51:11 [Prodoc]
- and is the text accurate?
- 20:51:17 [zout]
- yes
- 20:51:33 [zout]
- but some extra info on acoustic fingerprinting might be nice
- 20:51:36 [Freso]
- Dutch is not supposed to be understandable unless you are Dutch yourself!
- 20:52:10 [zout]
- well, half the terms are English ;)
- 20:52:17 [Prodoc]
- Ok, I'll add and extra line on the fingerprinting

- 21:11:36 [Prodoc]

- but ok.
- 23:10:43 [FeZ-]
- and why i cant search ?
- 23:11:05 [FeZ-]
- i tried picard also, but the same effekt
- 23:11:32 [ruaok]
- because the server is centralized and cannot be downloaded.
- 23:11:34 [FeZ-]
- do i need the internet connection also for searching the files
- 23:11:40 [ruaok]
- yup.
- 23:11:47 [ruaok]
- you need to use the search server.
- 23:12:02 [FeZ-]
- and why i have such a lot of data in my maschine ?
- 23:12:05 [ruaok]
- use the "old search" -- that doesn't need a net connection.
- 23:12:22 [ruaok]
- because you're a Warmduscher?
- 23:12:26 [FeZ-]
- jep
- 23:12:33 [FeZ-]
- that can happen
- 23:13:14 [inhouseuk_]
- inhouseuk_ has joined #musicbrainz
- 23:13:28 [FeZ-]
- ok so i only can use this maschine for programming stuff and se how it work on my maschine and not for tagging my 4 mp3
- 23:13:50 [ruaok]
- no, not really.
- 23:14:00 [ruaok]
- you should use picard for tagging. but event hat requires a net connection.
- 23:14:13 [ruaok]
- * ruaok waves at intgr
- 23:14:18 [ruaok]
- er. inhouseuk
- 23:15:03 [nightgroove]

- 23:15:11 [nightgroove]
- Warmduscher = hot shower? lol
- 23:15:13 [FeZ-]

- 23:15:55 [ruaok]
- nightgroove: yep. its a soft german insult. :-)
- 23:15:57 [nightgroove]
- ruaok: I figured
- 23:16:12 [ruaok]
- kunwon1: picard might run there. not sure.
- 23:16:14 [nightgroove]
- and it means hot shower?
- 23:16:16 [nightgroove]

- 23:16:25 [nightgroove]

- 23:16:59 [kunwon1]
- ruaok: I see that libmusicbrainz is explicitly said to run on freebsd and netbsd, openbsd is not in the list
- 23:17:05 [kunwon1]
- ruaok: no I didn't
- 23:17:15 [nightgroove]
- nightgroove has quit
- 23:17:16 [ruaok]
- kunwon1: thats because no one has told us that it does or does not.
- 23:18:05 [kunwon1]
- ruaok: are you making that statement on behalf of the developers?
- 23:18:19 [FeZ-]
- nope. but i installed the server for the first time. i thought that i can tag offline using the vmserver
- 23:18:34 [ruaok]
- kunwon1: urm, sure.
- 23:18:55 [kunwon1]
- ruaok: okay, I just wanted to make sure you weren't just some random passerby in the channel :D
